Equity Credit (HEC) is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality
of our customer information. Safeguarding such information is a matter
that we take very seriously. In that spirit, we are pleased to outline
our Customer Information Principles, which guide us in handling customer
information.
The following principles are
applicable to all of our employees, and are supported by rigorous control
policies for the protection, access, security and storage of customer
information. The principles are:
- We do not share customer
information with any affiliated company or other institutions. Customer
information handled by our employees while administering the mortgage
origination and servicing functions is conducted in accordance with
strict security and privacy control standards, confidentiality policies,
and with applicable banking laws and regulations.
- We hold our employees fully
accountable for adhering to all standards, policies, and laws affecting
the protection and use of customer information.
- We do not share information
about our customers except in order to properly and ethically conduct
our business, comply with applicable law, protect against fraud, or
make special offers of products and services that we may feel may be
of interest to customers. We may also provide information to regulatory
authorities and law enforcement officials in accordance with applicable
law.
- We have established high
standards for protecting information regarding our customers from unauthorized
alteration or destruction.
- We do not report customer
information to any credit bureau. Customers should notify us if they
receive information regarding their relationship with HEC that they
believe to be inaccurate.
At HEC, information regarding
our customers is used solely in the legitimate conduct of our business.
We will continually maintain our dedication to assuring that customer
information is properly used and appropriately safeguarded.
